Guangdong Youzhi New Materials Co., Ltd. was founded in 1995 by its founder, Mr. Lin Zhiyi. Originally known as Guangzhou Yongchang Atomic Putty Factory, the company initially focused on the research, development, and production of unsaturated polyester putties—commonly referred to as "atomic putty." As the business grew and expanded, in 2003, the company invested in the construction of Qingyuan Yongchang Coating Co., Ltd. at the Jiafu Industrial Park in the High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, an area renowned as "Guangzhou's Back Garden." The new facility spans approximately 30 mu of land, and by the end of 2005, the company had completed its full relocation and commenced comprehensive production of automotive coatings along with related supporting products.

To further expand production capacity and enhance its product portfolio, the company invested in 2017 to build Guangdong Youzhi New Materials Co., Ltd. in the Jianggu Fine Chemical Industrial Park, Sihui City, Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province. The new facility spans approximately 50 mu of land, with a total investment of around RMB 200 million. Focused on fine chemical products such as water-based paints, resin series, putty fillers, automotive coatings, curing agents, thinners, anti-corrosion paints, and industrial coatings, the plant is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of up to 48,000 tons once fully operational.
