Mr. Lin Zhiyi, the company’s founder, established Guangzhou Yongchang Atomic Putty Factory in 1995, primarily specializing in the production of unsaturated polyester putties (atomic putty). As business expanded, he invested in 2003 to build a new facility—Qingyuan Yongchang Coatings Co., Ltd.—in Jiafu Industrial Park, located in the High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, an area affectionately known as "Guangzhou's Back Garden." The new plant spans approximately 30 mu of land and marked the relocation of the original Guangzhou Yongchang Atomic Putty Factory to Qingyuan by late 2005, where it now focuses on manufacturing automotive coatings and related products. In 2017, Mr. Lin took another significant step by investing in Guangdong Youzhi New Materials Co., Ltd., which was established in Jianggu Fine Chemical Industrial Park, Sihui City, Zhaoqing Province, Guangdong Province. This project covers a total area of about 50 mu and represents a substantial investment of roughly RMB 200 million. The company is dedicated to producing a wide range of fine chemical products, including water-based paints, resin series, atomic putties, automotive coatings, curing agents, thinners, anti-corrosion paints, industrial coatings, and more. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of up to 48,000 tons.

The company began pilot production in February 2022 and officially started full-scale operations in September of the same year. Today, it is equipped with multi-angle colorimeters, vibration mixers, high- and low-temperature alternating humidity chambers, gas chromatographs, salt spray corrosion testing chambers, AC paint-mixing machines, multiple automated canning and packaging lines, and an AI-powered intelligent color-matching system called "ZhiCai Magic Cube" ...

The company boasts a dedicated, in-house R&D team and currently holds multiple invention and utility model patents. In 2012, the company played a key role in drafting the industry standard HG/T 4561-2013, "Unsaturated Polyester Putty." Additionally, in 2021, it contributed to the development of a national standard—GB/T 41953-2022, "Paints and Varnishes—Determination of Moisture Content in Coatings by Gas Chromatography"—as well as the revision of another national standard: GB/T 6739, "Paints and Varnishes—Determination of Film Hardness by Pencil Method." In the coming years, the company plans to actively collaborate with several universities and research institutions through industry-academia partnerships, fostering innovation and co-developing cutting-edge products tailored to meet both customer needs and market demands. At the same time, we will continue strengthening our intellectual property strategy, with an ongoing focus on applying for and securing recognition for advanced technology projects. This includes pursuing certifications such as National High-Tech Enterprise status, Zhaoqing City High-Tech Enterprise designation, Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center accreditation, and Zhaoqing City Engineering Technology Research Center certification, among others.
