Product Features and Suitable Substrates
- Suitable substrates: Filling applications for steel plates, iron sheets, and fiberglass surfaces—particularly effective for addressing defects such as wide weld seams and significant substrate depressions found on train bodies, passenger cars, and heavy industrial machinery.
- Industrial-grade putty offers excellent heat and temperature resistance, superior spreadability, broad compatibility, and is easy to sand for a fine, smooth finish.
- It exhibits excellent adhesion to substrates such as cold-rolled sheets, steel plates, and electrophoretic coatings.
- This product is suitable for large-area coating.
Construction Instructions
- Sand the substrate ready for puttying, removing oil stains and moisture.
- Thoroughly mix the putty with the hardener until the color is evenly consistent.
- Quickly level after mixing within the workable time.
- After applying and scraping, allow it to harden before sanding.
- Thoroughly remove rust flakes, oil stains, old paint films, and moisture from the metal surface using solvents and a polishing tool, ensuring the substrate remains clean and completely dry before coating.
- Mix the putty and hardener at a weight ratio of 100:2 until thoroughly combined (ensuring a uniform color). Use the mixture within the available working time of 6 to 15 minutes. If the mixed putty begins to cure—noticeably increasing resistance when you start applying it—immediately stop using it. The usable time can be influenced by ambient temperature, humidity levels, and the amount of hardener added.
- Quickly press the mixed putty into the area to be applied, then swiftly smooth it out. As you apply and scrape, firmly pack the putty deeper into the surface—making sure no tiny air bubbles are left behind in the substrate’s imperfection-filled gaps.
- If thick coating by scraping is required, apply in layers (2–3 times), allowing each layer to surface-dry for 30 minutes (check by ensuring the surface is no longer sticky to the touch). Each application should not exceed 0.1 cm in thickness.
- Grinding can only be performed once the putty has fully hardened. After applying and scraping, wait 60 minutes before sanding with #240 or higher grit sandpaper—dry sanding with a grinder is recommended. During the rainy season or in high-humidity conditions, slightly extend the sanding time to ensure optimal results.
Important Notes
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat and ignition sources, and protect from direct sunlight.
- If bubbles seep in during application, use a scraper to smooth it out thoroughly, ensuring excellent adhesion.
- If a thick coat is needed, apply multiple thin layers until the desired thickness is achieved.
- Unused putty and hardener must be stored tightly sealed; putty mixed with hardener should not be returned to its original container.
- Storage time: 6 months.

Our strengths
The company boasts a dedicated, in-house R&D team and currently holds multiple invention and utility model patents. In 2012, the company played a key role in drafting the industry standard HG/T 4561-2013, "Unsaturated Polyester Putty." Additionally, in 2021, it contributed to the development of a national standard—GB/T 41953-2022, "Paints and Varnishes—Determination of Moisture Content in Coatings by Gas Chromatography"—as well as the revision of another national standard: GB/T 6739, "Paints and Varnishes—Determination of Film Hardness by Pencil Method." In the coming years, the company plans to actively collaborate with several universities and research institutions through industry-academia partnerships, fostering innovation and co-developing cutting-edge products tailored to meet both customer needs and market demands. At the same time, we will continue strengthening our intellectual property strategy, with an ongoing focus on applying for and securing recognition for advanced technology projects. This includes pursuing certifications such as National High-Tech Enterprise status, Zhaoqing City High-Tech Enterprise designation, Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center accreditation, and Zhaoqing City Engineering Technology Research Center certification, among others.
