Product details:

Interface-free varnish

Product Features

  • High-solids, ultra-fast-drying clear coat with excellent transparency, superior film hardness, and consistently stable drying performance.
  • Thanks to the product's ultra-fast drying properties, it is ideal for small-area repairs and scratch touch-ups on car body panels.

Applicable Substrate

  1. The surface of the old varnish layer, thoroughly dried after grinding;
  2. The surface of our company's 1K single-component base coat;
  3. Top-grade single-component color paint based on acrylic resin.

Construction Techniques

Surface cleaning

Use a dust-free cloth to wipe clean surface dust and particles. (For the interface area, use a sticky lint roller to remove any remaining debris.)

Mixing ratio (volume ratio)

Varnish: Hardener
100 : 5 0

Available time

Use within 1 hour after mixing at 25°C
(Recommended to estimate and mix the required amount as needed, then use it up completely)

Spray painting tools And atmospheric pressure

Gravity-fed (top-pot) 0.8mm - 1.4mm
RP spray gun: 0.5 – 1.8 bar; HVLP spray gun: 1.5 bar
When applying spray coating to a small area, adjust the spray gun's air pressure, flow rate, and spray pattern to optimal settings.

Number of Coating Passes / Film Thickness

Apply 2-3 coats
Film thickness is approximately 40 ± 5 µm.

Flash-drying time

Allow interlayer flash drying for 2–3 minutes at 25°C.
Allow to sit for 10–15 minutes (dust-free) before heating and baking.

Important Notes

  1. When the temperature drops below 10°C in winter, it's not recommended to allow the paint film to dry naturally after spraying. Instead, we suggest using a baking oven to heat the area to around 60°C for about 30 minutes.
  2. It is recommended not to spray large areas when the temperature exceeds 30°C;
  3. If fish eyes are detected during the spraying process, immediately stop construction. Then, add 0.5%–1% of anti-sagging agent to the remaining paint before resuming spraying.
  4. At the paint film joint, you can directly spray edge-sealing compound to achieve a flawless edge finish—refer to the specific edge-sealing instructions for details.
  5. Varnish containing a curing agent should be used up as soon as possible and must not be saved for later use.
  6. Please clean all spray tools immediately with a thinner after use, as they will become difficult to remove once hardened.
  7. After spraying, if there are small particles or areas with sagging, you can wet-sand them with 1200–2000-grit sandpaper once fully cured, followed by wax polishing.
  8. Shelf life: Store in a cool, dry place at 20°C. Unopened, with the original cap intact, it can be stored for up to 2 years.

Construction Operation Procedure Manual

Before spraying operations:

  1. Check whether the sanding transition area of the old paint layer meets the requirements.
  2. Complete masking (reverse masking method recommended for interface areas)
  3. Thoroughly wipe clean with the degreaser, using a wet-and-dry approach.
  4. Use a dust blower combined with a sticky dust cloth to clean surfaces.
Spray Gun: Gravity Feed (Top Cup) 0.8mm–1.4mm
Pressure: RP spray gun 05-1.8 bar;
HVLP Spray Gun, 1.5 Bar
When applying spray coating to a small area, adjust the spray gun's air pressure, paint output, and spray pattern to optimal settings.

Spray-painted color coat:

  1. Prioritize color coating and spray-painting to cover and repair the central area, using an outward-to-inward application method for optimal results.
  2. Before each coat of color paint, use a sticky dusting cloth to evenly remove dust and debris, preventing uneven spots from forming.
  3. When making small-area repairs, adjust the appropriate spray gun air pressure and ensure the color paint has the right viscosity for optimal results.
  4. When repairing special colors or colors prone to showing imperfections, it is recommended to evenly apply a single-component clear resin layer or edge-sealing varnish—such as touch-up clear coat—over the area to be painted before spraying the color paint.

Spraying varnish:

  • The color coat has fully dried (the clear coat must be applied within 30 minutes after the color coat is sprayed).
  • Before applying the clear coat, use a dust-removal cloth to evenly remove dust—even from areas outside the color coat—to prevent unevenness and the appearance of grit or speckling.
  • The first coat of clear lacquer was applied with a wetness level of approximately 85%, and the spraying area did not exceed the boundaries of the colored paint application zone.
  • After the first coat of clear lacquer achieves a non-tacky finish, apply the second coat; ensure 100% wetness during spraying, and keep the spray area within the sandpaper-sanded region.

Rebuttal handling:

  • When repairing small areas, apply the second coat of clear lacquer within the sanded area; after surface drying, proceed with baking for forced drying.
  • Pour out the remaining clear coat from the spray gun, then mix the leftover clear coat in the gun cup with high-quality thinner at a 1:1 ratio. Spray 1–2 coats onto the area where the clear-coat interface meets the 2 cm mark, as well as on the sanded surface. Afterward, empty the clear coat again from the gun cup and directly add high-quality thinner to create a low-flow, high-frequency spray application specifically targeting the interface region.
  • Use a direct water jet for precise edging, employing a low-flow, high-frequency spraying method.
  • Use the interface water and follow the second method for edge sealing. It is recommended to limit the second clear-coat application to within 3–5 cm of the sanded edges.
